Anne C. von Philipsborn
Group leader, Associate Professor
I did a PhD in Germany and a postdoc at the IMP in Vienna, Austria.
In 2014, I joined DANDRITE and established the lab.
I am studying the neuronal and molecular basis of female Drosophila copulation song.
MS in Molecular Biology, Aarhus University, 2018

BS in Molecular Biology, Aarhus University, 2015
- Elective courses in Biology
Interests: Data analysis, programming, literature
I received my M.Sc in Biotechnology from Ravenshaw University (Cuttack), India and joined the Philipsborn lab as a PhD student in 2019.
My research focuses on characterizing the function of interneurons involved in male song by behavioral experiments (song recording) combined with genetic manipulation of defined neuronal classes ( neuronal silencing, optogenetic activation, RNAi-mediated knockdown of neurotransmission genes).
